Its not unusual for the limit screws to have to be adjusted when moving between wheels.

If it was fine before you MUST check the mech hanger. Unless you are with the bike every minute of the day you can't be sure- Use a tool - you can't always see it with your eyes and inexplicably- my 11 speed indexing is remarkably tolerant to hanger bends.

If the mech hanger is straight, check the springs are the right way round on the QR ie wide part of the conical shape on the outside.

Finally if you are sure that can't be anything else, adjust the limit screw. On Campag it will be the rearmost screw- On Shimano it will be labelled L.
Wind it in a turn- check you can reach big sprocket, continue turning until you can't get it, then wind a quarter turn OUT until you can get it. Simples.

Don't worry about the cable tension- only a big deal on the H end of the scale.

Not sure where the original post went...

Had a look at lunchtime at the mech and played with the limiter screw. It would appear to be bent, a jaunty angle is easily observable. I will try and put the limiter screw ever tighter to see if I can get some clearence, but I've ordered a new one.

Now then, anyone got any bright ideas to get the bolt that seems to have rounded off out of the frame?

Depends how rounded off it is. You might be able to get an imperial hex key of a size slightly above that of the screw and hammer it into the head.

Drill the head off being careful not to get down to the thread under the head (sometimes you can drill the meat out the head leaving the surrounding metal very thin - you then pull the hanger over this and because the remaining metal is very thing it will slide over leaving an intact boly).

Get some pliers, grip the shaft (oooeeerrr) of the remaining bolt and it will undo no worries - there is no tension to hold it in place.

Clean out, grease up thread, insert new bolt, torque into place.

I wouldn't suggest smacking things with hammers as bending the frame may happen- very, very unlikely as you're not going to smack it with a lump hammer (I hope!), but hey, random things have been known to happen.
