Sick of having to dig shards of aluminium out of my cartridge pads every few days

Using roval fusee wheels and Ultegra calipers

Any pads that don't suffer from this?

Is it due to the rims, or the pads, or both?

change the pads to koolstop salmons - they don't pick up any swarf at all and offer a bit of an upgrade in stopping power!

i won't have anything else on my bikes - they are great!

Funnily enough, I've ordered 2 pairs of salmons for mrs carrocks bike as her pads are quite worn down, so I'll try a pair

Salmons don't have as much meat on the pads if you'll excuse the pun.

they last for ages though and offer better braking - not sure how that works!

Yes, koolstops don't pick up any swarf.

The black ones last a bit longer than the salmon ones, but are a bit sketchy in the wet.

They seem to last quite well, but in any case I would prefer to be wearing away the pads rather than my rim.

Just to clarify the above post - koolstop pads are kind to rims, Shimano are very abrasive
