Failure of MAVIC Kysrium rims-what to do next

Hi

Out today on 1yr 350day old Orbea Onix on Mavic Kysrium Equip rims when I had a catesptrophic failure on the rear wheel. Picture attached! better rims?  Thanks  Big Den[/code]

    Take it back to the shop where you bought it, with your proof of purchase. This is the normal form if you think it should be covered by the warranty.

    Not a common fault AFAIK.

    i think mavic service centres only talk to dealers

    i hapen to have the secret mavic coadz, so below are details of the uk one for if you get desperate, but go to your dealer first as that is who your contract is with

    That is correct, having just got replacement part for my Ksyrium SLs after waiting a few weeks ...

    I think the Orbea warranty covers components for 2 years so it may be worth contacting them.

    I suspect they will call it 'wear and tear' after a year of riding, but it never hurts to ask. Good luck and hope it gets replaced.
