Hi

I am going to get a powetap elite+ wheel only (as I have a garmin 310xt)

1. Would the garmin 310xt be good enough to get useful info from the powertap?
2. Does anyone know of the cheapest place to buy this?

Thanks

Dunno where's cheapest, but my advice would be to save a bit extra and get a Pro+. The Elite+ is just too damn heavy at 624g - fine for training, but not for racing. The Pro+ is still quite heavy, but about 160g lighter than the Elite+.

PowerTaps are never significantly discounted anyway.

And yes you'll be fine with the FR310XT - that's what I use.

Could you let me know what price you have found for the pro+ wheel.

I have found elite+ wheel only for £640

best price on pro+ wheel only is £792

Have you found a better price?

I dont understand why the difference in price for the hub is less than £100, but yet the difference in price for the wheel only is close to £200.

Considering they use the same hub/spokes, how can everywhere justify the massive price increase?
