Carbon forks - replacement

The paint has bubbled where the alu steerer joins the carbon fork. Have been advised the integrity of the joint may be compromised. The bike is a Cannondale CAAD 5 with 8K on the clock.

Is it difficult to change the forks? I am resonably competent and is cheaper to buy on line than through the bike shop. Is the size 1 1/8? Ta

Dead easy, simpleist advice is youtube it loads of clips.

Hardest bit is putting the bearing on the forks.
