Shimano compatibility
I am trying to fit an SRAM 11x32 10 speed cassette but I am having difficulty getting my rear derailleur indexing right.
My shifters are 105 10 speed and I am trying a Deore XT 9 speed (M771) rear derailleur. At any time I can get 7ish of the gears indexed but cannot stop the extremes at either end jumping.
Just wondering if the pull ratio on the M771 is the same as the older M761, which I is supposed to work with this set-up.

I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

it should work. I know that isn't particularly helpful but 10spd road shifters are compatible with all 9spd rear mechs (road and MTB).
Is it overshifting or undershifting?
Check the cable routing is correct, at the mech pinch bolt.
I'm about to fit exactly the same setup to my wife's bike....Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0
