    But they weren't all "rock and roll", they did do a few folk albums too and Robert Plant still records folk music..

    However, agreeably, when they rock and roll, they do indeed rock and roll!

    Robert Plant, used to live in Kinver, my grandad used to say hello to him all the time whilst he was in his garden (Bob Plant in his garden, not my Grandad in Robert Plants garden) he hadnt a clue who he was

    i use the term "rock" in a circa '90's, waynes world fashion, to mean, the are sweet as a very sweet nut!

    Unfortunately the recent Plant offering with that alison bird, was IMHO a bit cack! But as with must things, when people go their own way it isnt to everyones taste;

    Using an o-level/GCSE grading system

    Led Zepp = A+, Plant on his own = D
    The Smiths = A, Morrisey = F
    Oasis = A/B, Liam Gallagher = U
    The Beatles = A, Paul Macca = D, John Lennon = C

    you get what i mean

    I went to see Thin Lizzy a couple of months ago with my Dad. Obviously not the same with out Phil however, was still amazing, totally rocked :D

    My Dad is a 70s rocker and he loved Led Zepplin so we were brought up listening to that stuff.

    Love it!

    Seen them live a couple of times. Love all their stuff. Physical Graffiti is probably my favourite album, but they are all good.

    I would say close second to Houses of the Holy. Bizarrely of which the 'title track' was on Physical Graffiti. Never quite got that.

    i like led zep but find a lot of their music to be a bit whiney and lacking substance, too arty and musical, more for afficionados than people who just like to hear a nice 4 minute tune.

    same with loads of old fashioned music.

    Did enjoy JPJ's foray into the modern era with Josh Homme and Dave Grohl (Them Crooked Vultures). Went to see them live and they really did rock!

    +1

    I was brought up on a staple diet of Led Zepp, Sabbath, Deep Purple, Queen, Pink Floyd etc etc. I took my dad watching Iron Maiden on the Virus tour with Blaze Bailey and he was totally blown away by them, he's now the one who asks me if we're getting tickets when they tour 8)

    My fave is The Rover off Physical Graffiti. Not the most common on peoples favourite lists but a proper rock song
