Insoles

I'm a relative newbie to bikeradar although I've been lurking for a while, so please be nice ;-)

My Carnac SFT shoes have started giving me numb toes and a hotspot in my right foot. I'm guessing that the insoles are kerputt as I've not changed anything else, cleats, saddle position etc...

Any recommendations for insole replacements? e.g. Superfeet yellow? Has anyone got these? These all seem to offer support for high arches "and relieve associated foot pain" (Yep. I've got high arches) but would supporting a high arch prevent pressure related pain in the ball of the foot?

Thanks in advance

the specialized bg ones are good, they have a raised piece that helps avoid pressure on the nerve from the bones (not the greatest explanation, see their website for more words)

proper arch support is important as it helps stabilise the foot/leg through the pedal stroke, so i would definitely go for the arch support - i use the blue bg ones, these are 'medium' support

are your soles *really* stiff, if you can feel the cleat through the sole then you might be better off getting stiffer shores
my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny

They're not carbon soles, but are stiff enough that I don't feel the cleat. I'll see if I can find some of the Spec BG ones. Thanks
