Hi Folks,
New to Forum, My first post, Please take it easy on me,
Currently ride a hybrid, looking to move to road bike hoping eventually to be able to do some 50-100 mile cycles........ for fitness and fun (relaxed cycling)..
I live in rural Ireland, so am pretty limited to what the local shops have in stock,
Not confident/knowledgable enough to buy from internet........
Very small club scene here, and dont know anyone to ask for advice....
Aged 40, male, large 95 kg frame, height 6 ft.........reasonably fit for my size...
Need your advice on Pros and Cons of following bikes please that the local bike shops stock.......they are around my top budget (£900 or €1000)
Ridley Eos
Trek 1.5
Merida 93
Boardman Road or Comp from Halfords
Most of the bikes listed seemed to have similar Spec i.e. Shimano Tiagra, except Boardman,
To my Dissappointment, I did find most of the staff in the shops I visited a bit ambivalent to helping me choose a suitable bike and Correct size frame for me,"That would do you" attitude
Hence I am asking for your advice.....
Any Feedback / Advice / Other suggestions would be greatly appreciated....
Thanks in Advance
