Does anybody find the thumb button too stiff? The combination of vibration from our roads and stiff right shifter is causing pain in my right thumb joints.

sounds like a problem to me, mine's medium, neither light nor stiff, just right!, can you check against someone elses/bike in a shop?0

I have Chorus and if anything it's light. I love the way they multishift, my problem is shifting down two when I only meant to shift down one. Not what you want to hear but I'm pretty sure it's a problem also.0

+1
Not really a problem when riding on the hoods, but in the drops however it can be a bit of a nuicence when you only want to go up one gear at a time.0 -
I have 2009 Chorus which was fairly stiff with distinct clicks until I changed to the later right cable coiling bushing (search for part EC-SR060) which lightened the action considerably and made the clicks less distinct. I also have 2011 Athena Powershift and that has a more distinct, "heavier" action0

I have 2009 SR and 2011 Athena. Both have a very light shifting action, especially compared to the older Record 10 speed systems.
I read that Campagnolo did stiffen up the shifting on the top 2011 Groupsets slightly, under request apparently as many found the action too light.
However I think if your levers are that stiff you have a problem somewhere. Most likely cause is bad cable routing (bends too tight usually under the bars or at the shifters)
You don't say what gruppo you are running, but hope that helps.0 -
Im running Record on two bikes. The bike in question has the black newer revised cable bushes. I think I chose the wrong direction out of the lever, should have gone over the top instead of down the side. On the other bike its over the top and it is marginally better. Sorry I guess this thread should have been in Workshop.Pegoretti

Before you start stripping down your handlebars have you tried some WD40 inside the shifters? I had a similar issue after my summer bike had been in the garage all winter.0
