Does anyone know if an ultegra 9 speed double front mech lever (6600) is compatible with an ultegra 10 speed triple front mech (6603)?
Cheers.

You dont say what chainset you are using, double or triple.
Do you really have a 9 speed double lever a sthe 6600 part number refers to a 10speed. lever?
9 speed levers will be 6500 or 6510.
let us know the answers otherewise we are pissing in the wind

Beware trying to use a 10-speed front mech with a 9-speed drivetrain. The 6600 front mech cages are 1mm narrower than the 6500 ones and the 9spd chain will rub the 10spd mech cage in either the highest or lowest gears depending how it is tweaked.
I've tried this and it drove me nuts --

9 speed double front mech will be 6500, 10 speed = 6600.
Ultegra double shifters will not work with triple front mechs as the shifters are double/triple specific.
You should not use a 10 spd front mech with 9 spd chain because the mech cage is narrower that a 9spd mech and you WILL have shifting issues and chain suck. Conversely 10spd chains are also narrower that 9spd chains and so will not work efficiently may 9speed cassettes. May not sit properly on the cog teeth.0 -
Thanks for all the advice.
It turned out to be a 6500 lever. No matter how much playing around with adustment screws, cable tension etc it won't work.
The fact is that a 6600 triple front mech needs a 6600 triple lever.
