What recommendations do you have ?
Is it wise to replace the rotors too ? I think they may be 160 can someone confirm ?
How long to take off the old ones and fit new ones ?
Looking to get my local Giant dealer to do the shop and hoping to get parts and work done for about £100

Well, it depends on why you wnt to replace the MPH brakes.0

Sigh.
Better in what way?
Lighter? More modulation? More outright power? Less likely to overheat on long descents? More pad clearance? More adjustability?
Or, to put it another way, what is it about the MPH that you don't like?0 -
OK probably lighter and need more power and less effort to apply0

Hmm. Well, if you just want more power, then getting larger rotors would be a good first, cheap step. 160 is very small, and stepping up to a 180 rotor would give a significant advantage.
However, it's not going to make anything lighter.
I'd suggest having a look at Shimano's range of brakes, SLX, or XT. They're plenty powerful, and very low maintenance. And I'd still suggest 180mm discs if you want gobs of power.0 -
Are they better than Avid ?0

Again, "better" in most cases is subjective. I preer the feel of Shimano, but currently run Avids, with no issues.0
