Go to page 92 of this months C+ What MET helmet is it (Rob?, anyone from C+?)

It was waaaay more comfortable than the over priced Giro Atmos I have, and I want one. Oh and thanks for putting me in front - I'm making a poster for Courtney's office.

Just get a £30 giro helmet, will offer same protection and feels the same on your head. Take all the names off the helmets and try a few and I defy any normal cyclist to notice much difference :D
We are all just bike pimps for the sales guys :D
  • The met was probably cheap - it was a supplied by the mag!

The Nalini shorts and jerseys were nice mind

Agree with Pokerface, I loved my Rudy Project, dead comfortable and stylish, however as soon as it gets warmer and I started to sweat the sweat ran down into my eyes and made them sting.

I changed over to the Giro Ionos, at first trying it on in the shop it didn't feel quite so comfortable, but reading the reports it was reported to be one of the most cooling helmets about, problem solved and have now ridden about 500 miles with it and not one instance of sweat in my eyes.

What also sold it for me was that the Rudy came with a net to stop bees, wasps etc getting caught in your hair (OK what little hair I have) and it was good to note that the Ionos also comes with one as well.
  • The winner is, giantman. It is indeed a Forte, and I have just ordered one. It was way more comfortable than the Atmos which was overpriced rubbish as far as comfort is concerned.

Tell us what the Felt was like steve, any good?

The Felt is mine - I bought it in Jan and used it 4-5 times per week throughout Jan to March. Once I found the right stem (after that photo session) its a great bike. I swapped out the cameron meyer bars though for more conventional ones as you can see, which knocked about £250 off the price, in fact that is the only difference as far as I can tell between the 2010 and 2011 model. I am quite impressed with thr wheels which are own brand, but they are fairly light but pretty stiff.

    .

+1 I tried it on and wasn't sure. In fact I walked away. Then tried again and thought I'd give it a go. Not conscious of it at all when riding which is about as good as you can get with a lid. Arrive with dry hair too so cooling and airflow is great.

Yep snap :D , not sure what it was but it feels a totally different helmet than when I tried it on in the shop, I completely forget it is on except for I now find the front comes down a little lower on my forehead which is a good thing for protection and occasionally it rattles against my glasses.

Having gone through one winter with my Ionos, and seeing the benefits of wearing it in warmer weather, I kinda like mine now, didn't at first.

These helmets sit BIG on your head depending on head shape of course.

So much is down to head shape. My Atmos fits me perfectly, I love it. First helmet I have used that I honestly can't feel it's there on a ride. Not a bead of sweat in my eyes either.

Couldn't believe a Small was the correct size for me though, they seem to fit huge.

You've got to try a Kask K10. The K10 has a very wide range of adjustment and is a superb bit of kit.
