What forks for <£200

I'm looking to upgrade the forks on my bike in the next couple of months to something a bit more capable. I've got a Specialized Hardrock and the stock forks are pretty nasty on it. I've been looking around and there's a fairly bewildering amount of choice.
I was thinking of an upper limit of 200 quid, though this is perhaps a bit much on a 400 quid bike it doesn't seem like the really cheap offerings (e.g a Rock Shox Dart for 100 quid) are much better than what I've got at present. I'm assuming that getting a fork with 100mm of travel as opposed to the 80mm on the current ones is ok and won't throw out the geometry of the bike entirely? Beyond that, I'm clueless. Air or coil? Is lockout necessary?
If it makes any difference I'm only a little over 9 stone, so if I can adjust the thing a bit to suit my weight then all the better.
What should I get? :?
Recommendations gratefully received.

I think a pair of Rockshox Tora Solo Air's or Recon Coil's will be your best bet for less than 200. moving up from 80mm to 100m shouldn't make hardy any difference to geometry. I went from 100mm forks to 80mm and didn't really notice much of a difference. I got a pair of Tora 318 Air's from Merlin Cycles a while ago for £175 which worked out at about £200 once I'd payed for brake adapters and fitting. I don't know if any deals like that are around at the moment but I'd go for air just for the flexibility of tuning it to your weight!0
