What are these bad habits which people talk about?
how do these bad habits affect a persons enjoyment when out on the bike or are they an imaginary list of supposed mountain bike qualities handed down back in the 90s (probably by bontrager and whoever invented muddy fox) which have now been forgotten by modern bike riders who should all go through some kind of rite of passge before being considered "good"

I find riding my bike with my eyes closed is a pretty bad habit, as is riding under the incfluence of crack.
Surely bad habits and bad technique are the same thing. So stuff like staying seated over rough stuff, not putting the outside pedal down in corners, stuff like that.
I guess how much it affects enjoyment is subjective. You don't miss what you never had.0
