Since it's finished, let's bask in the glory of perhaps the best 1 and a half months of bike racing I've ever really seen.
Belgium seems pretty happy - won every race from G-W till L-B-L.
We had everything. Great races, stunning performances (Canc, E3), a winner from out the break (Vansummeren), bad luck (QS), racing right down to the wire (MS-R, Flanders) and head & shoulders above the rest races too (Gilbert)
Will the Giro with its crazy course be able to match? It'll have to be at least as good as last year to get close.

Agreed, something of everything. There was however a decent amount of negative racing from teams where there were outright favourites.
Some superb photography, particularly from Flanders.
At the end of the day a legendary result has been created: a winner of three straight Ardennes in one year. Rebellin is the only other rider to achieve this. Gilbert really was scary strong and looked in perfect condition. Can't wait to see him in the Tour - some decent chances for him early on; he wants a stage and to wear the yellow jersey.
