A low flying duck

Been out for the club ride came back into town and a mallard comes bolting out of someones drive and clocks me for 6. Headed straight for the deck.

No dammage to me, bike or duck. The old granny had a good laugh mind.

It came out of someone's drive? So presumably it's owned by that person?

I'd send them the bill for damages....

  • Should have hit it with a mallard.
  • Are you Fernando Torres? He seems to have been out a few times without breaking his duck too!

Edit: I see that he put that right against the Hammers yesterday.

  • Maybe you were cycling too slowly. You really need to pochard if you want to avoid them.

Boring answer - in law I believe that loose animals are not the owner's responsibility, rather that the owner could sue you for damage to the duck?

On the other hand you could have turned it into a Soul Singer by sticking it in the microwave until its bill withers.....
