Hi all,

Cycling home on my commute last night along the River Trent near Nottingham, a youth appeared in the distance and as he approached me there was a very distinctive aroma in the air. He had an enormous spliff in his mouth as he went passed me.

Conclusive proof I feel, that drugs are still rife within cycling!!

Er, do we add 2 and 2 toghether here to guess the result that he was cycling while doing the spliff?

And let's not forget the significance of 'bicycle day' for fans of LSD
  • One of the downsides of cycling along bridlepaths near rivers when the weather is nice.... much more likleyhood of teenagers there drunk and/or on drugs to shout abuse at you and generally be aggresive.

I've had a couple of aspirin this morning, should I risk it ???????
  • Hi,

Sorry Simon, yes 2+2 does equal the young lad was cycling. He was not in the slightest bit aggressive either, in fact I would say he was quite chilled!!

The warm weather has certainly increased the numbers of people along the towpath. At present walkers, runners and cyclists appear to be able to share the path without any conflict, wonder if this will continue if temperatures increase and people get "ratty" with the heat?

That's what I was thinking but I think I misread the OP. Phew!
