661 Recon helmet sizing

Looking at getting a 661 Recon but I'm coming up as between s/m and l/xl in their sizing. There is nowhere locally that I can try one on so I'm going to order online and accept that I may have to return it.

I've read quite a few reviews stating that they come up on the large size in which case a medium might be ok. I've currently got a large in a Giro Havoc but It's never been the greatest fit - a bit loose.

Has anyone got one that could offer some clues as to the sizing?

    probably not much help, but if you're prepared to send it back anyway, why not just order both sizes and keep the one that fits

    Hmmm......because that would be far too sensible! Ended up ordering the medium - hope it's OK or I might regret not ordering both!

    Only replying to this in case anyone else ever searches for similar. The helmet arrived this morning - great service yet again from Merlin - and the medium is on the large size. It's a good fit. My previous Giro's were all large. I was borderline between the 2 Recon sizes but am glad I went with the smaller one.

    Only one short ride so far but so far I'm impressed with the ventilation. Much better than my Giro.
