I'm a few years out of date. What is the equivilant of a Kona Hoss now? Doesn't have to be a Kona bike just something for the heavier rider, stronger frame than normal, heavy duty components all round, decent wheels etc, i.e. a bit of a tank that can take a lot of abuse?
Maybe there is a bike that is almost that class if just one or two components are changed?
Thanks in advance.

I think there are quite a few:
Cove Stiffee
On One 456
Orange Crush
Most brands seem to have a 'hardcore hardtail' these days0 -
Hoss wasn't a "hardcore hardtail", it had pretty standard XC/all day geometry, but it was just built to take some abuse, from heavier riders.0
