Katusha are the team in question.0

Cyclingnews has some info now
Apparently the reports of 1000 agents were absurd

Katusha named, one rider who had his records handed over apparently does not ride for them now.0 -
Something big is going down in Italy generally.
Tuttobici has a report of a very big doping doctor going down soon - wire taps and all that kind of stuff.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -
Pick one from three?0
-
The Inner Ring is reporting that Scarponi received a visit from NAS today too.
Are Lampre about to set a record for the number of riders under investigation for doping at one time?0 -
Scarponi dirty? Well I never!
Would love one of the big doping doctors to get busted. Can't see it being Dr F though. It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.0 -
hmmm pro cycling PED procycling PED pro sports PED pre sports PED
Is this a surprise in any sport? It would be more surprising if it werent happening
Just seems odd that Cycling should get such high profile investigations and actions when football is soooooo much richer but apprently beyond reproach0 -

Well, the Italians are going after a network of dealers, so other sports could be implicated.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -
Yea but as soon as footballers were implicated in Puerto it came to a grinding halt.If suffer we must, let's suffer on the heights. (Victor Hugo).0

Personally I don't care about football's image, the grubby pursuit of every last drop of cash has long since turned it into a corrupt, tarnished sport in my opinion.
I'm a cycling fan, and whilst I appreciate that doping and cycling go hand in hand, I'm frankly sick of the attitudes of certain teams and riders who seem to think that continuing to tarnish the image of the sport is perfectly acceptable.0 -

Yeah, but this is the Italians investigating this time. They don't care who you are. They had the football match fixing thing a few years ago and just last week they had their own Prime Minister in court.Twitter: @RichN950 -

Is it curtains for Karpets?
He certainly could have the rug pulled out from underneath him. :P
Oh no, Scarpo:

There was always an underlaying hint of suspicion about him.0 -
Cyclingnews reporting that it's Ferrari they're after in conjunction with the US/Armstrong investigation.
This could get interesting.0 -

Clearly, in the case of Karpets, the police have an axminster to grind."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

They've certainly put his case at the top of the pile.Twitter: @RichN950 -
Some guy who seems to hold some reverence on the cyclingnews forum (first time I went there - a little worrying. There are guys there that might as well not bother watching the racing) seems to be suggesting this is all Armstrong related, and that it's no coincidence this is occuring after people like Di Luca get smaller sentences...0

I guess there must be more than a thread of evidence...**************************************************

Perhaps part of the deal included having to wear a concealed recording device while chatting to his new team-mates at Katusha?0 -
CN: Gazzetta De La Sport claim there could be widespread changes at the team, with only Orlando Maini remaining as a directeur sportif. He joined Lampre this year after working with Katusha, LPR and Marco Pantani's Mercatone Uno team in the past.
Well he is gonna be a clean as a whistle then... sheeeesh 'Do not compare your bike to others, for always there will be greater and lesser bikes'0 -
So if Scarponi is busted and Sirloin boy actually gets his comeuppance at CAS, does that make Dan Martin the winner of the Volta a Catlunya? It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.0

Alas, only in a parallel universe.
But don't worry, Dan, 'cos come the revolution, you'll be hoovering up all the mountain wins you can wish for.0 -

Clearly, any wired funds transfer from riders to Ferrari would purely be for 'advice' , just like Frank Schleck's 'training plans' from a well-known Spanish gynaecologistMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

'The US-based investigators apparently knew little of the relationship between Dr Ferrari and Armstrong when they first met with European investigators last July at the Interpol headquarters in Lyon France.'
Do you think we should have a whip round so the FDA can get internet access?___________________
