I'm looking at getting one of these and was wondering if anyone had any opinions or if there are better deals or posts for the money.

It seems good value and seems fairly light for the money.

I don't have experience with that exact seat post but I have the carbon version and a whole bunch of other components from them. All have been built and finished to a good standard and come in at very competitive weights especially for the price.

If you do a search on the forum you will find there are many other satisfied customers.

Nice looking seatpost but IME eXotic Carbon Cycles are best avoided - Shockingly, shockingly poor customer support.

I bought a "27.2mm" eXotic Carbon Matrix II Seatpost that was too big to fit either my Dekerf Team SL or Isaac Pascal. Neither frame has any problems fitting any of my 3 other 27.2mm seatposts.

I explained all this to eXotic and asked for a replacement/exchange.

EXotic refused to accept that the seatpost was faulty, refused to exchange it and implied that the seatpost not fitting was somehow my fault.

eXotic Carbon Cycles = Appalling, shockingly bad and ultimately demoralising customer service.

Thanks. I have an Exotic stem and have seen the favourable comments about Carboncycles' stuff.

I was just wondering if there was anything better for the money.

EDIT: My reply was aimed at jairaj.
@Harry182, that doesn't sound very good. Was the post too large or too small in the diameter? Hopefully, there aluminium tolerances are better.

It was too big. I reckon the problem was an uneven application of the clear lacquer finish - a simple and forgivable error... shoot happens.

However, what was inexcusable was carboncycles.CC's subsequent complete and total failure to rectify or even acknowledge the defect.

I have the carbon version, worth paying the extra for it.

Yup if you can stretch to the carbon go for that. On a price to weight ratio there is not much better than eXotic. I think Smica do some nice seat posts for reasonable money not sure of actual weights or prices but they are usually very competitive too. Other than you may get lucky in the sales ... ?
