hi all thinking of getting some of these i would just like to hear your views on these pedals. they seem good priced and look great but are they really as grippy as people say. also if you click no upgrade will you still get an axel.

The best pedal out there for the price (though some people back the MG1 instead).

Good company too and spare parts for pennies.

The designs are modular too, so if you fancy upgrading to magnesium or titatium later on, just buy that separately.
Why would I care about 150g of bike weight, I just ate 400g of cookies while reading this?

MG1's are better in nearly every way than the Nano's so I would go for those especially since they are slightly cheaper. Pretty sure they come in red as well

The Superstar pedals don't stay red for very long anyway (do any pedals stay completely coloured for long though)

@peter413 true enough have red, black and gold, all mostly silver by now.

Shop around, Superstar are just a rebrander, sometimes other companies like Ready To Ride have the exact same pedal for less (sometimes more).

MG1s are good too, they're close enough in performance that it's a matter of personal taste, I really like the thin-ness of the Nano so I can overlook the fact that they're a bit less grippy and are heavier (unless you spend a lot more). But I'm still using a set of MG1s as well and they're fine.
