Ok, after lots of trial and error with stems and bars etc i have found a set up i am happy and comfortable with.
So now i wish to upgrade my stem to match the rest of my bike (Ribble Gran Fondo) but should it match my bars which are 3t ergonova pro (black) or the bike and seat post which are both deda and white.
Thanks

From a purely tartish perspective, you should either get a Deda stem AND new Deda handlebars to match the seatpost and bike, or get a 3T stem and a new 3T seatpost.Cannondale Synapse 105, Giant Defy 3, Giant Omnium, Giant Trance X2, EMC R1.0, Ridgeback Platinum, On One Il Pompino...0

I got a Deda Zero 100 servizio Corsa stem and was mighty pee'd off the find all the bolts fail at just 4-5nm (despite it saying max 8nm on the side! :0 ) plus it's funny angled at either 4 or 8 deg. Looked brill though. Sent it back and got a Deda zero 1 for less than a third the price.
Anyhoo, I digress, get a 3T stem and post.0 -
Didn't think Deda seat post's matched the Zero1 stem I bought,so painted my own seat post with the stock Ritchey...
O.K The manufacturer doesn't match,but the paint scheme does...0 -

I'd switch the Ergonova for a Deda Zero100, there's far to much 3T stuff out there at the moment!
NapD - Yikes. Not heard of that before. I've been fine for 2 years now running Deda Zero100 on 2 bikes and doing my own wrenching (at 5nm).0 -
But you said you'd had ages of trial and error to get your set up right. You won't notice the difference between equal length and angled stems from any manufacturer, but the sweep of bars and amount of drop can vary significantly.
Or in other words, you'll notice a change in bars, not a change in stem make.
Or ditch the lot and go FSA!!Cannondale Synapse 105, Giant Defy 3, Giant Omnium, Giant Trance X2, EMC R1.0, Ridgeback Platinum, On One Il Pompino...0 -
As TommyEss says... 3T stem & post, or full FSA kit...Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0

Good advice all round, but im happy with the bars (i did try to find a suitable Deda set but i was unsuccessful) and the seatpost matches the bike well.
So assuming im only half a tart and had to match my new stem to either which should i go for.
Having read through the rest of the rules this could be the least of my problems too!0 -
Well if you're happy with the bars, get the stem to match and leave the seatpost. Most people won't even notice… but you'll know… you'll know. :-pCannondale Synapse 105, Giant Defy 3, Giant Omnium, Giant Trance X2, EMC R1.0, Ridgeback Platinum, On One Il Pompino...0
