Is it possible to fit a Campagnolo Record 47-39 crank with a 34 tooth chainring? Can I just replace the inner chainring with a compact one or do I have to get a completely new crank?

I'm trying to find a solution for the girl, 47-39 is hardly the choice in the Mallorca mountains :)

Cheers & thanks!

Assuming the 39/47 is a standard chainset and not a compact one with 110 bolt circle diameter, you will not be able to put something like a 34 ring on because it is just too small to physically fit.

Compact chainset with 110 BCD required. I got a compact double on mine with 34/42 rings.
