Stripped crank (pedal) thread
I've stripped about a third of the thread length on the crank arm (RH thread thankfully) and need to get it helicoiled (nothing there to re-tap). Anyone know the thread guage? I know the diameter is 9/16".
.... Or even better, anyone know a place that can do the job?
Thanks in advance.

Shimano tech docs say 9/16 x 20tpi for pedals.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

try any good LBS as this is a common problem and they will have taps for both the left and right threads plus the inserts."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Longstaff Cycles can do themRecipe: shave legs sparingly, rub in embrocation and drizzle with freshly squeezed baby oil.0
