Help chosing new bike

Im after a new bike. I was looking at the Carrera Banshee X

but I need some advice. Is the bike a good choice or mayby it will be better to find second hand bike?? Any Ideas?? My budget is 700.
I was just looking on ebay maybe someone can tell me if any of those bikes are ok?? thanks for any advice

Hi and welcome to Bikeradar.

Firstly, what sort of terrain will you be riding? Are you a heavy rider?

Also do you know much about bikes? 2nd hand can be a minefield, plus you have no warranty.

My last bike I had few years ago so from that time lots things have changed but I think I still know a bit about them. Terrain, I think it will be everything. Daily driving to work and at weekend some not to heavy tracks. Parks,forest etc
I know on used I wont have warranty but I will have better spec

For the kind of riding you describe in my opinion most of the bikes you listed are way over the top!You would be better off with a 100mm travel fork hardtail,or 100/120 full suspension at the very most.

From hardtails I was thinking about Cube Acid 2011. Will the Cube be ok??
