Mavic Speedcity - wheel rebuild
So I got rear ended by a bus in the one way system cycling home through Catford.
The rear wheel (Mavic Speedcity) took it amazingly well but the rim is bent and ruined.
While I wait for insurance to sort things out I was wondering if I could get a replacement 24H rim and have someone rebuild the wheel using the Mavic hub.
Anyone know if this is/could be possible and if so recommend a 24H rim I could use and a builder in SE London I could go to. No idea if the straight pull spokes/setup is an issue or not.
Or any ideas of my chances getting a mavic service centre to rebuild it costing less than just buying a new one?
The wheel details are here:

If you plan to reuse the spokes, I don't think its possible with anything other than a specific Mavic rim, because of the way the spokes are located in the rim - its not a standard drilling.
I'm not sure that replacing the Mavic spokes with standard straight-pulls would work either - the "nail heads" of the Mavic spokes look larger that those of conventional straight pull spokes.
Chances are that by the time you'd sourced and paid for suitable spokes and a rim, it would have been quicker and cheaper to get anoter rear wheel.'This week I 'ave been mostly been climbing like Basso - Shirley Basso.'0
