I've got the less comprehensive version, but I think the tools are the same. Quality is jot brilliant, but they do the job fine. I only paid £30 or so and it allowed me to do almost everything on a modern bike. As they wear, I'm replacing with better stuff.

    Cheers.

It is the most rubbish tool kit you can buy.

I got mine about 5 years ago and have used it a lot. I've got three mountain bike and a road bike and do all of my own maintenance.

They aren't as good quality as Park etc... but you pay for what you get. I have replaced a couple of things but mostly it's still going strong.

If you work in a bike shop then Park tools may be the way to go, but for most people the lifeline is a great starter kit that will enable you to do most jobs.

tbh i'd avoid kits and just buy specific items you need for your bike

a multitool is worth carrying on longer rides, it doubles for home use, get one with a built-in chain tool and spoke wrenches, ditto some tyre levers or a crank bros speed lever, together that probably covers half the useful stuff in the kit

you won't need *all* those cone spanners for your wheels, you might not need any!

do you need a tape measure? the gimmicky chain cleaner? etc. etc., does the kit have the correct bb/crank/pedal tools for your bike?

imho you can do better buying individual items to match your bike

when i started working on my own bikes, i got a tool kit but i wished i never wasted my money on it. all you need is a good set of allen keys and then just buy the tools you need as and when you need them. ive found that buying the tools when i need them i am able to buy great tools that will last a lifetime without busting the bank.
