Race Tyre Choice ...Conti 4000S or Ultremo R1 ???

Just got a pair of Mavic Cosmic SLR's and not sure which tyre to use ? I've been using GP4000S for race tyres for the last couple of years ( dry weather riding ) Never had any issues with them, but a few friends reckon Ultremos are better ?? Any advice on this would be great ! Please note these will only be ridden in the summer in the dry

I have the SR's (used to be called SLR's) and have put some ultremo ZX's on them.

Can't talk highly enough of them. Great on all counts.
