Cannondale CAAD 8 105 vs Synapse 105

I have a straight choice between the 2011 models CAAD 8 & the Synapse

Both boast 105 kit and are compact not triples.

I have ridden the 2010 CAAD 8 for the last 6 months and loved it. The geometry left me bit achey backed but have improved things recently by making a few tweaks to the set-up. I understand the Synapse is a little less aggressive.

I know it comes down to individual preference but like-for-like, what would be the better bike in your opinions?

if racing then the caad, if not then the synapse.

i use it for commuting to work on which is a 23 mile round trip, v.hilly. 4 times a week.
