Hi all,

We're doing LEJOG at Easter and plan to pick up a GPS to help keep us on track. As none of us really want one enough to splash out and keep it, we're going to pick one up from Ebay, hopefully at a decent price, use it for our 10 day trip and then sell it again to get our cash back.

What do you guys recommend we go for? Doesn't necessarily have to have bells and whistles, as long as it keeps us on the straight and narrow we'll be happy.

Thanks in advance.

Buy a new garmin 800 from handtec then sell it afterwards. probably loose £40 at most but their again you might keep it.

Looked into this - it's a good recommendation, thanks. Suprised to see that you can buy them from Handtec cheaper than you can get them on Ebay. And I reckon if we only use it for 10 days we shouldn't loose much at all.

    Thanks for the help!

Does one of your mobiles not have a GPS or a navigation facility ; subscribing to that for 0 days would be cheaper or may even be free dependant on contract .
If its just for keeping on track and your not doing any serious data cruching / training specifics then droping £300 notes to sell it again 10 days later seems al ittle overkill . What about a cheap car sat nav some are very small footprint ?
