I need some advice. Im looking at building up a bike and look at this frame with rock shox revelation going to be riding trail riding and XC.
Is it going to be a bit of a bitch for all day mammoth and up hills?

Well What Mountain Bike gave it a good rating in their Trail Bike of the year issue.

nope, mine climbs fine and that with 160 forks on. not the lightest bike on the block but you never seem to notice the weight. possible a bit burly for xc but if you like the more aggresive side / all mountain whatever you want to call it, it works like a dream

I havent found it to be a heavy bike - obviously depends on the build but mine comes in at 30.6 lbs and i've had a fair few people say it feels light to ride.

I do main'y trail centres and xc stuff - been find for what i want. Did have a superlight before but I think my 105kg weight was a bit too heavy for the superlight for some of the stuff I ride so moved to the heckler and haven't looked back.
