bent/off true chainrings/cassette
Hey chaps, any advice greatly appreciated...
The back wheel of my trek 1.5 compact, tiagra group, was making a god-awful racket. Took the rear hub and cassette apart and cleaned the bearings.
Reassembled it and there was some play in the back wheel and a regular clunk as the chain rubbed against the sprocket above the one it was on. Also chain seems to rub the front derailleur once every turn of the pedals when it's on the big ring and rubs the big ring when on the small one...
Took it to LBS who fixed the play in the wheel and adjusted the gears but the other rubbing and clunking persist.
Is it possible that I've reassembled the cassette wrong or it's somehow buckled and large chain ring is buckled as well?
It's a reasonably new bike but I rode through winter, though cleaned it after every use!
(Cheers for reading this essay!!)
