Shimano WH R560 wheels issues

Out the other day and the rear started making an occasional scrapping type noise when going up hill or when putting real preasure on the pedals. Got off and when i spun the wheel it would stop/stick. Felt grindy when spinning. Certainly not hitting the brakes and appears fairly true.
Any ideas, running free now but still feels grindy

    I suspect you have two issues. First is that the cup and cone bearings need a service. How many miles have the wheels done?

    Second is that the wheel is flexing under side forces, normal to some degree. It's hitting your brakes because there's slightly too little clearance.
