Freehub removal Specialized hub ?

Ive got a matt black specialized hub (unknown model) on my rear wheel, the freehub has developed a slight clicking that can be felt through the chainset under load.
following inspection, after removal of the cassette, there is definately a tiny bit of play.
I decided I would strip down the hub and re-grease the freehub before I contemplate replacement.
the end cups are simply pushed on retained by a 2mm hex grub screw.
beneath is 2 sealed bearing cartridges, however I cannot figure out how to actually extract the freehub. do I need to press the bearings out in order to remove the freehub ?
Regards

have you removed the axle yet? ( i guess not) do so. they normally exit from the non drive side then use the axle to remove the drive side bearing.
then have a look at how the body is held on the hub. (if it has not already come off )"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I am assuming the axel is pressed in with quite a bit of force, not having the proper tools to do this and replace the bearings would I be better to take this to a specialist ?2012 Giant Defy Composite 1
