Hi all,

I've just treated myself to one of these:
http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/i/q/FRG ... d-frameset in blue.

I'm almost certainly going to fitting a Campagnolo Veloce groupset (silver) but I'm now wondering what wheels and finishing kit would best compliment the bike - any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The Nitto finishing kit from Hubjub is very nice. As for wheels, a nice set of handbuilts definitely. Sadly, Campagnolo in their wisdom don't make silver hubs any more but the Ambrosio Zeniths are a good alternative, or Hope Pro 3 if you're feeling flush.

+1 for Nitto - it will look great.

Maybe look for some new old stock Campag hubs?

The Nitto stuff is very very nice. I use their stem and bars as does the missus. We have the Noodle bars and they are beautiful. Fresh Tripe is also good for Nitto.

The forthcoming polished alloy PX model B wheels would be worth a look.

  • Many thanks for all the helpful advice, guys.

To go with my Veloce groupset I've ordered a set of Ambrosio Evolution wheels:

Almost certainly going to be ordering Nitto stem/bars/seatpost from Fresh Tripe Bikes.

Quite like the look of this saddle in blue:

Thinking behind the blue saddle is to match it with the frame, blue handlebar tape and Vittoria Rubino Por tyres in blue. Or should I go for the same saddle in black and match with black handlebar tape and tyres?

    Thanks again.

Dude that's far too much blue! Over co-ordination is not good.

Surely surely surely a white saddle and bar tape (picks out the decals) and some black or gumwall tyres would look far better.
