Garmin 705 - firmware update, odd readings..?

Morning all - just updated my Edge to firmware 3.30 (or 3.31, can't remember) and this morning's 6.2 mile ride at an average of 15mph was reading total distance 2.3mi, speeds from 3mph to 26mph.
The speed readings were odd, it seemed correct on a downhill stretch that I know is typically 26-ish mph, but on the flat when I normally expect 13-15mph it was reading 3-6mph. Total distance whn I arrived at school was 4 miles short, definitely.
I've also noticed in the last few weeks that in some situations my auto-pause feature has been beeping a lot as if I'm stopped at lights, but it's been doing this when I've been (usually) climbing hills at around 11mph instead. I've recently put an Exposure Flash (or Flare) on the bars, could it be this interfering with the head unit?
The 705 behaves normally on my other bike, just to compound the oddness. No Exposure light on there, and haven't ridden it since the firmware update, mind you...
Any thoughts?

3.3 was a nightmare for me, auto wheelsize didn't work with the powertap and it kept switching off when loading gpx files.
went back to 3.1 and all is well.0 -
Was rolling back to 3.1 straightforward/intuitive enough? My updates come via Garmin Connect and don't seem to offer any options like installing a particular version of the firmware?Litespeed Tuscany, Hope/Open Pro, Ultegra, pulling an Extrawheel trailer, often as not.

3.20 was the firmware that was wrong, 3.3 is the most recent and has been OK so far with me apart from the zero averaging thing on mine which I've posted about and cured. Autopause was always kicking in at 17mph with 3.2.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -
I found out how to do it somewhere in here, have a search in the firmware posts

Thanks, I'll have a look - although replacing the cadence sensor battery and moving the Exposure light from the bars coincided with a problem-free ride home... I'll see how it goes but download the old firmware in the meantime.Litespeed Tuscany, Hope/Open Pro, Ultegra, pulling an Extrawheel trailer, often as not.
