A "Best of the Series" show? REALLY?
There have been 6 bIoody shows so far, and according to the sky planner, this one, and the one next week are BOTH clips shows.
If that's correct, that's just plain lazy.

It's ok, if you've seen just 1 of the rest of the series, you've already seen at least 20% of tonights episode anyway. And being on the BBC, it's repeated a half dozen times this week.0 -
I am a massive fan, but some of the stuff is getting tedious now. They are looking bloody old too!0

they need to spend more time speaking about and hooning about in cars IMO, and less time doing challenges/races
thats why its so popular on Dave, cause the old episodes are quality. I must have watched the F430/Zonda/GT road trip about 6 times now.
cant see the last two series being so popular0 -
hmm, just watched the "best bits"
they are good, but why make 2 episodes of best bits from 6 episodes. just lazy
ahwell, skipped the unfunny bits (iplayer), so the show only lasted like 5 mins.0 -
I get home from work, I either get a cuppa or a can o' Spanish and settle down to reruns on Dave. Classic start to evening
Sonics right though - Even Hammond is suffering the middle aged spread now.0 -
I'm of the opinion that perhaps it's time to take this show and put it out it's misery (and I say that having enjoyed it for years).Formally known as Coatbridgeguy0

I think that the original few series tended to be a bit drab, boring road tests; cars, down a road, being tested... which is what plagued previous car shows and the current Fifth Gear. The old re-runs are a poor watch compared to more recent series'.
Testing a Jag against the sunrise, or a Massa (?) against the Royal Mail though are epic road tests - if they keep up that originality I could quite happily enjoy it for a few more seasons.0 -

+10 -
agreed. i do love top gear, but it really should be put down now.
its just not funny
and yeah, the american one is really good atm, like i wasnt opptomistic about it at all. but its genuinely watchable, and much less cringey than the uk 1.0 -

See traditionally what you'd do in that situation, is you'd take the bits from those 6 episodes that are good enough to make up the 2 clips episodes, and then you'd just throw the rest away and make some more, better episodesUncompromising extremist0 -
as much as i am les and les impressed with top gear, i cant resist watching it, even this slightly ropey series isnt enough to stop me watching the next series when it happens.0
