Single Speed rear brake problem
Whilst a lot of single speeds tend to just have one brake, the front, I have acquired one which has two brakes. The front is fine, yet the rear flattly refuses to touch the rim when aligned.
Some images of what I mean - the first is the bolt that fits into the frame:

The second is what I mean by the brake pad rubbing on the tyre rather than seating on the rim.

I have tried to extend the brake out a little further so it moves further up the arc of the wheel but to no avail. Anyone with any ideas who can shed some light on the issue?

It looks like the drop on the brake caliper isn't long enough. You may need a long drop caliper, like this - http://www.pedalon.co.uk/acatalog/shimano_r650_calliper.html0

Okay, that has to be it as I can't seem to get it to drop no matter what I do. I shall dig around and see if I can find one that is going cheap. Cheershttp://www.youtube.com/user/Eurobunneh - My Youtube channel.0

Front brake only if you're riding fixed, otherwise you must have both a front and rear brake.More problems but still living....0

Yeah, I prefer two anyway as I don't trust my ability enough not to slam on the front anchor and embed myself in a treehttp://www.youtube.com/user/Eurobunneh - My Youtube channel.0
