The search for a pair of sun glasses that fit...

I wanted a reasonably priced pair of glasses to wear until the summer. Having spent some time browsing, I bought these from Wiggle: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/dhb-pro-triple-lens-sunglasses/

They arrived today. They look really nice, but when I put them on, because of the shape of my face, the bridge of the glasses sits fairly low on my nose. The slightest movement sees them sliding down my nose and the top of the frame almost centered in my field of vision.

I'll return them to Wiggle on Monday, but still need something to replace them. Anyone had a similar problem?

I guess the only way to sort this is to go into a store in London tomorrow and try them all on until I find a pair that fits me properly. Can anyone recommend such a place?

Oakley store in Covent Garden would be my bet. Theres also some outdoor shops too that sell other makes of shades close by. But my preferred option would be Oakley.

yep, just try a load on.

The last time I bought I tried on everything - Oakley, Giro, Bolle, Adidas, Spesh, Rudy P, the lot.

Some were fine, some just didn't fit at all (Giro). Best were the Adidas ones, for me.

I'm sure i read that you can adjust the nose piece on the DHB's? Something about pulling on the individual rubber bits as they are supposed to move up and down the wire "shaft" to accomodate different beaks. Have you tried, as i thought they were supposed to be ace glasses?

Was going to get a pair myself after breaking my Revolution Blades but Wiggle seem to have put the prices up again on the DHB triples. My Endura Marlins (photochomatic) don't seem to bright winter sun too well...
Titus Silk Road Ti rigid 29er - Scott Solace 10 disc - Kinesis Crosslight Pro6 disc - Scott CR1 SL - Pinnacle Arkose X 650b - Pinnacle Arkose singlespeed - Specialized Singlecross...& an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4 string...

Mine lasted years until I sat on them. They were worth every penny.

If you were head honch at Bolle why would you not seek sponsorship deals with pro cycling teams?
  • I know these are not a known designer make but ESS 'balistic' glasses are great they have bendy arms and an elastic strap if you need and also inter changeable lenses, the yellow ones are great for the morning commute if its a bit dark or over cast, The dark lenses are extremely good and they are a reasonable price to boot

I tried the Oakley Jawbones on today at Condor. They fit perfectly, so I'll get those.
