That felt good! I bought a road bike in the sales last year, but between a sore back and the rubbish weather I hadnt been out on it, except for a short blast.

Today I am off and the sun is shinning, so I dug it out with my lycra bib shorts (the world was pleased!) and went out sub 5 mile run. Ok its not long, but boy if felt good to be out on it! Few teething problems ie the saddle kept tilting back even after a good tighten and the front gears stopped working - they dont even try and move...

That aside im looking forward to getting out more on the road bike and MTB and enjoyed reading this forum.

Im off to consult the Park Tools bike blue book!
'The hills are alive with the sounds of panting'

Rides:

MTB - Giant 2008 Trance X2
Road - Giant 2010 Defy 2
Hybrid - Giant Escape 2011 City 2

Have you trapped your gear cable when fitting a bottle cage or something?

A tip - it's too cold for shorts. Get yourself some bib tights until the weather warms up.
