Top marks to Cycle Surgery for their commitment to recycling

I don't normally buy anything from Cycle Surgery but they had a pair of SRAM X9 shifters on sale online for a good price so I went for it. When they turned up one of the shifters was scratched, had dirt stuck behind the lever and had a date in 2007 printed on it. The other one was fine and was made in 2009!
I phoned up to complain and the guy who answered said that he didn't know how it could have happened as they don't send out items that have been returned. Well they obviously do and they don't check returns before sending them out again - they probably had a quick peer in the box, saw 2 shifters and chucked it back on the shelf for the next customer.
Lose, lose for them. They've lost a shifter and they've lost a customer. Although to be fair I probably wouldn't have bought anything else from them anyway as they're so damn expensive!
Beware....

Mistakes happen. So instead of letting them sort it out you have a big whinge here?
