Hi. My back cable guide for my rear brake has corroded and sheared off my carbon synapse frame. There is no damage to the frame, the guide has oxidised and disintegrated.
Its probably a real pain to get repaired (and expensive), if i used a fully enclosed cable and cable tied the housing to the top tube would that work ok? would braking performance be compromised?

Full-length cable run is the easiest option - if you use a decent cable, I doubt you'll notice.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
