Should I use this tyre?

Its a folding Gatorskin with a cut and I can see the inner tube . If I use a Park tyre patch inside the tyre will it be safe to use? Or should I chuck it? The cut is on the tread, not the wall.

You could try using a tubeless tyre patch kit, but ultimately, any repair should be classed as temporaryMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

My rule as follows:
- small holes/cuts = SuperGlue
- any bigger cuts/slashes to the tyre = chuck. Especially if on the sidewallSummer - Dolan Tuono with Sram Force and Dura-Ace 7850 CL Carbon wheels
Winter - old faithful Ribble winter bike

If you can see the inner tube ... gotta chuck it. And if it's the front, we are talking serious safety hazard because chances are it will blow while descending at high speed and not while you are doing piano.0

I'll concur with everybody. Any visible damage to the tyre casing should be considered terminal.0

Use it if you want....it all depends how far you like to walk and how much you value youeself!!
It is cr@p when things like this happen but you have to think sensibly. If the tyre patch goes at the wrong time then who knows what the outcome could be0
