Thinking about purchasing a pair of these but unsure which might be the best all rounder when I don't need to wear my overshoes.
Has anyone got a pair of either? What are they like?

I've had some of the prendas ones and they're fine, but I'm sure the Giordana ones will be too. They all wear out through the sole fairly quickly IME, so just get what you like at a price that you don't mind replacing them every year or so.

Just seeing that the prendas are half the price, I'd buy those.
  • I actually prefer oversocks to overshoes.
Prendas are amazing value for money, especially as you can get say 6 months out of them and then ditch them.

Other oversocks I've tried are the Mavic (not big enough for size 11 feet) and the DeFeet Slipstream (ladder if you've got shoerub issues with your chainset).

Another bonus about oversocks are in some of the subzero weather we've had these past couple of winters, are you can wear them under your warmer overshoes to keep your feet extra dry & toasty!

Why do you want a pair of over socks?

    ? Oversocks are brilliant!

Bit chilly but not cold enough for overshoes? Oversocks give you more freedom of movement and stop your feet overheating.

Cold start but warming up soon?

Wearing your sparkly new white shoes but it's a bit damp out?

+1 - Prendas oversocks are excellent, easy to clean and keep the cold out!
  • I find normal shoes with Woolie Boolies do me down to about 5 degrees C whic is when I switch to the winter boots that I bought this year.

Winter boots may seem expensive but assuming they last 5 years it's only the same money that I'd spend on overshoes and none of the (endless) hassle.
