Upgrading frame from Medium to Large.

Hi all,

I have a Specialized Allez Comp in 54cm(m) and was looking to upgrade to a 56cm(L) bike. Would it be possible to just buy a 56cm frame of my choice and swap over all the components from my medium frame? Would they all fit?

    cables might not fit tho, everything else will be fine

    not if you have a band on front derailleur (i would think you do) and the seat tube diameter is different. You may need a shim or a different model all together. Likewise the seatpost would need to be changed if seat tube diameters vary.

    another thing you may want to check is that the bottom bracket is the same type.

    As above, plus you need to consider that the headset might be different too. Or buy a frame / fork / headset bundle.
