Great one tonight!

Drove all the way from Llandudno past ByC (about 40mins), got changed, put bike together, put lights on etc etc - start riding and realise front brake is nt working!

Have a look and the brand new Superstar pads I put in at the weekend (and ridden!!!) have fallen out - not slipped a bit but fallen out!!! I find one in the car and the other on the drive when we get home (having used a significant amount of petrol and had to buy a round of drinks for the ride crew!)

so - who is wearing the cone of shame, me or Superstar

Special Avid... There's a reason everyone else uses bolt-in pads, it's simpler and it's more effective. Bloody stupid design.

I'd say even if the pads are defective you should have noticed that they weren't fitted in right personally. I'm a fan of the SS pads, use them in all my bikes but of the complaints I've heard about SS pads most have been Avid users, they're so choosy about fit.
