After riding hardtails on and off for the last twenty years i'm beginning to have my head turned by full sussers and since i borrowed one off my mate to try out last week i now know i definitely want(need)one.
The bike i borrowed was a 2009 stumpy fsr comp and although i enjoyed riding it i'm not sure if this would be the best bike i could buy for my money.
What i'm looking for is a do everything bike,,good climber,,capable on the downhills,,120mm-140mm travel forks,,light-ish and between £1500 and £2000.
So far the bikes that have caught my eye are a stumpy fsr comp....Lappierre zesty 214 (314 in the sales),,,Giant trance X2(sales) and the trek fuel X8
Most of my riding is in the lake district and yorkshire dales but i also do trail centres every now and then
Help me please

spesh pitch comp/pro
commencal meta 5 pro (about £2200 but climbs very well)
scott genius 50 (not the best climber, but the traction control/lockout function is cool)
kona dawg
marin mount vision XM7
boardman FS pro, £1200 for the top of the range model, and you honestly won't find anything as good for the money, the spec is VERY good!0
