Hello mate, think there have been a few threads on here about these guys of late (+ some pics of built of bikes), by all accounts they seem incredibly good value.
I like shiny bikes - especially Italian ones.....!!

General consensus is they are very good value and some are the same frames the big brands use with a different paint job.

Danger is you'll get hit with an import duty and VAT bill. Here's the thread

Also info on roadbikereview forum - 4 threads with LOTS of info - I read them and the overall feeling I came away with was they are generally good buys but don't be surprised if you need to do a bit of fettling with fit and finish when building the bike.
Initially I was really keen and thought I could build a Ferrari bike for Mondeo money but the more I looked into things, for me it wasn't worth it and I have decided to buy a Canyon Ult CF 9.0 for £2100 but building a chinese frame to the same spec would be about £1900 - the extra £200 for me is worth it for less hassle, warranty and a better frame (I could even get a Rose bike with similar spec for £2k).

  • Yes, excellent. Carbonzone are Schenzen Greatkeen, and they make several thousand carbon fibre units for the European/North American market each year.

    Hi,
I bought one just after christmas. It came in about 3 weeks and I could track the parcel.I paid no tax as they mark it as a sample .

I am absolubtly delighted with mine. It rides extremely well. V stiff and light. Build quality is as good as any bike ive seen. I also bought carbon handlebars which are just as good. All cable routing is internal with internal tubing so threading cables is easy.

I cant recommend them enough. What else can you get for £300.00

I had a cannondale system 6 before and this is way better. :

    Details please

Which supplier/contact did you use? Any issues with the build? Did you fit the headset yourself? Which model did you go for?

    Pictures, pictures pictures!

I have bought differents items to him in a same purchase to put on my bike. After about 1 month I have received the parcel. The wheels are not right, rims are very poor quality : The brakes moove when i brake. I have look to the brake surface there is a bump on it !
Secondly the stem received is not round to tighten the handlebar. Then when the bolts are tighten the handlebar can moove !
Thelast item are not recevied since 6 months they said that they have no stock. I have contact them to inform the problem for the items but they don(t do anything

    Very bad seller !

I have not used them but have seen good reports on them. I can recommend Carbon_Bicycle on Ebay where I bought my frame £275 delivered. Not fettling required everything fitted together perfectly. 1,100miles so far no problems. they dan be creative as far as import duty and VAT is concerned!

Here is a link to one of his frames I was thinking of building next.

After reading on this forum I recently ordered (and paid for) a frame, wheels and some other stuff from Carbonzone. Last week the wheels arrived but I haven't heard anything about the rest of the stuff. Since I only got one tracking number I expected that all things would arrive together. Carbonzone has until now been very fast i responding to messages but are now ignoring me...

You guys who have dealt with them before, is this normal behavior from their side or should I be worried...?

    Thanks

I think for a lot of these companies there is a messenger-type chat facility available and often that works better than emailing back and forth for hours/days delay between correspondence. See if you can do that.

To ease your mind, they never ship wheels with frames etc as they are oversized then.
If you order from these guys you will get the goods.

The thing is, the culture of Chinese customer service is very different from ours. They don't like to be the bearer of bad news, so if there is a problem, or you contact them with a problem, they prefer to only contact you back when they have an actual resolution instead of saying; 'we're looking into the issue, but we don't have an answer yet'.

I will probably be buying a RB006 frame (Scott Foil type design) from Carbonzone via ebay as a summer project.
